About me

Hi, I'm Alice Ford — a University of Maryland mathematics graduate and private math tutor with 13 years of experience.

I've loved math for as long as I can remember. I started tutoring in high school because I wanted to share that love, and 13 years later I'm still doing it for the same reason.

I've worked with students across every level — from kids building their algebra foundations to college students grinding through Differential Equations. Every student is different, and I genuinely enjoy the puzzle of figuring out how each person thinks and where things are breaking down for them. Once I find that, we fix it.

SAT math prep is one of my specialties. I scored a 2200 on the SAT myself, and in recent years I've helped numerous students hit 1500+ scores and go on to gain admission to Ivy League schools. I know exactly where the test tries to trip students up — and how to make sure it doesn't.

My sessions are fully online via Google Meet, one-on-one, and available Monday through Thursday evenings. I keep my schedule intentionally focused so every student I work with gets my full attention.
